- Resin ribbon (high‑energy) – Mandatory. Wax/resin ribbons will smear or wipe off under solvent exposure.
- Recommended: premium resin ribbons with cross‑linked formulation for maximum chemical resistance.
Compatible printers:
Most industrial thermal transfer printers from Zebra (ZT series, ZQ series), Honeywell (PD45, PM45), Sato (CL, GL), TSC (Alpha, MH). Desktop printers with high‑energy capability may work – test first.
Printer settings suggestion:
- Darkness: 25–30% (higher than standard PET)
- Speed: 2–4 inches per second (ips) for optimal transfer and adhesion
